Our learners and clients come from
“Sometimes we’re in a bubble. You know your stuff, but looking at the data, you’re missing some points.”
“My classmates came from different backgrounds and it really helped a lot to see different perspectives. I’d recommend this to everyone, not just IT professionals: entrepreneurs, and teachers too.”
Most courses teach the tools. This one teaches the judgement.
You learn the full UX process the way it is practised now. Every stage pairs the manual method with the AI version, so you learn to judge AI output, not just accept it.
Real work, not a practice brief
One capstone on a problem from your own network, with 18 weeks to research, design, test and iterate it properly. You leave with a case study you can defend in an interview.
AI built in
Research, synthesis, design and testing each pair the manual method with the AI version.
Room to do it
12 live sessions every other Wednesday, with the week between for interviews, testing and group work.
Craft, not just output
A full session on spacing, hierarchy, colour and auto layout, so your screens look like a designer made them.
Tools you’ll use at work
Figma, Figma Make, Google Stitch, Claude and ChatGPT. Paid access included where the free tier is not enough.
Feedback on your work
Async feedback from Phil on Discord between sessions, plus three 1:1 mentor check-ins on your capstone.
AI can help you produce the work. It cannot explain or defend it for you.
No design background needed.
You need a laptop, 4 to 5 hours a week outside sessions, and a willingness to talk to real users.
Career changers
Moving into UX from another field and need a portfolio and a credential.
Junior designers
Already designing and want a structured process and a certificate to back it.
Product and marketing
Need to run research and design work yourself, without waiting on a design team.
Teams
Groups inside organisations that want a shared way of working.
24 weeks, built around one real project.
A live session every other Wednesday. The week between is for doing the work: interviews, testing and meeting your project team. From session 4, everything goes into your capstone.

Sharmaene SarmientoE-Learning Specialist, B&M Global Services (Baker McKenzie)“I thought I knew the basics of UX already, it was only a glimpse. What to ask, how to ask good versus bad questions: I applied it immediately.”
Shi MagoraProduct Owner, Customer App, Insular Life“It was memorable and engaging because of the real-life topics and hands-on exercises. I’m excited to explore the world of human-centered design now that I am UX certified.”
Cyrel LabradorMarketing, Meralco“I came to an understanding that users are really important, and I can push for the involvement of real users aside from getting the requirements only from stakeholders.”
ClaireDeveloper, Orange & Bronze“I really like the real-world examples of the different concepts. This allowed me to fully understand and imagine the concepts beyond textbook information.”

Do I need a design background?
No. You need a laptop, 4 to 5 hours a week outside sessions, and a willingness to talk to real users. Past cohorts mixed marketers, developers, product owners, teachers and e-learning designers, and the mix is part of what makes it work.
How much time does it take?
A 3.5-hour live session every other Wednesday, 1:30 to 5:00 pm Manila time, plus 4 to 5 hours a week of project work. The off-weeks are for interviews, testing and meeting your project team.
What if I miss a session?
Every session is recorded, and you get the slides. Catch up in your own time and bring questions to Discord, where Phil gives async feedback between sessions.
Which tools will I use, and do I have to pay for them?
Figma, Figma Make, Google Stitch, Claude and ChatGPT. Paid tool access is included where the free tier is not enough. You also get the Figma Basics video course as pre-work.
How am I assessed?

What do I get at the end?
The Certified UX Associate credential as a digital, LinkedIn-ready certificate, a capstone case study for your portfolio, and 3 group coaching sessions (2 hours each) for portfolio and job-hunting support.
