“Sometimes we’re in a bubble. You know your stuff, but looking at the data, you’re missing some points.”
Jake Fadallan, Technology Business Incubator Manager, Romblon State University · Batch 1

“My classmates came from different backgrounds and it really helped a lot to see different perspectives. I’d recommend this to everyone, not just IT professionals: entrepreneurs, and teachers too.”

Why this course

Most courses teach the tools. This one teaches the judgement.

You learn the full UX process the way it is practised now. Every stage pairs the manual method with the AI version, so you learn to judge AI output, not just accept it.

Real work, not a practice brief

One capstone on a problem from your own network, with 18 weeks to research, design, test and iterate it properly. You leave with a case study you can defend in an interview.

AI built in

Research, synthesis, design and testing each pair the manual method with the AI version.

Room to do it

12 live sessions every other Wednesday, with the week between for interviews, testing and group work.

Craft, not just output

A full session on spacing, hierarchy, colour and auto layout, so your screens look like a designer made them.

Tools you’ll use at work

Figma, Figma Make, Google Stitch, Claude and ChatGPT. Paid access included where the free tier is not enough.

Feedback on your work

Async feedback from Phil on Discord between sessions, plus three 1:1 mentor check-ins on your capstone.

AI can help you produce the work. It cannot explain or defend it for you.

Who it is for

No design background needed.

You need a laptop, 4 to 5 hours a week outside sessions, and a willingness to talk to real users.

  • Career changers

Moving into UX from another field and need a portfolio and a credential.

  • Junior designers

Already designing and want a structured process and a certificate to back it.

  • Product and marketing

Need to run research and design work yourself, without waiting on a design team.

  • Teams

Groups inside organisations that want a shared way of working.

How it works

24 weeks, built around one real project.

A live session every other Wednesday. The week between is for doing the work: interviews, testing and meeting your project team. From session 4, everything goes into your capstone.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Anything else? Ask us or email hello@getuxcertified.com.

Do I need a design background?

No. You need a laptop, 4 to 5 hours a week outside sessions, and a willingness to talk to real users. Past cohorts mixed marketers, developers, product owners, teachers and e-learning designers, and the mix is part of what makes it work.

How much time does it take?

A 3.5-hour live session every other Wednesday, 1:30 to 5:00 pm Manila time, plus 4 to 5 hours a week of project work. The off-weeks are for interviews, testing and meeting your project team.

What if I miss a session?

Every session is recorded, and you get the slides. Catch up in your own time and bring questions to Discord, where Phil gives async feedback between sessions.

Which tools will I use, and do I have to pay for them?

Figma, Figma Make, Google Stitch, Claude and ChatGPT. Paid tool access is included where the free tier is not enough. You also get the Figma Basics video course as pre-work.

How am I assessed?

No written exam. 70% is your capstone, judged on the work and a 15-minute presentation with Q&A where you defend your decisions. 30% is a live practical: critique an AI-generated design and run a usability test task.

What do I get at the end?

The Certified UX Associate credential as a digital, LinkedIn-ready certificate, a capstone case study for your portfolio, and 3 group coaching sessions (2 hours each) for portfolio and job-hunting support.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. At the early-bird price you can pay ₱32,500 up front, or 3 payments of ₱11,000, 6 of ₱5,700, or 12 of ₱2,750. Choose the plan at checkout.

Can my company send a team?

Yes. Buy 3 seats and get the 4th free, or book a private cohort for up to 12 people built around your own products and customers.

What is your refund policy?

See the refund policy. If you are unsure whether the course fits, ask us first.

The next cohort starts 4 November.
